When Elen first came to Arbor Vitae Chiropractic, she was facing multiple challenges that were making daily life increasingly difficult. She was living with thoracic outlet syndrome that caused tingling, numbness, and aching in her arms and hands, while also recovering from compression fractures in her lower back. After being unable to continue chiropractic care for several years, she wasn’t sure if meaningful improvement was possible. As Elen shared, “I was skeptical that at my age they could really do anything to improve my situation.” Everything changed after visiting our booth at the Benton County Emergency Preparedness Fair. Learning about neurologically focused chiropractic care sparked her interest, and her initial neurological scan accurately identified the areas of inflammation and dysfunction before she had even shared her health history.
Since beginning care, Elen has experienced remarkable progress. Her back pain has improved by approximately 90%, and the tingling, numbness, and aching in her arms and hands have improved by about 80%, with only occasional mild symptoms remaining. Even more surprising were improvements she never expected, including significantly better balance despite Meniere’s disease and an estimated 80% improvement in bladder control. At 81 years old, these changes have restored her confidence to remain independent in her own home, stay active, exercise, and continue enjoying everyday life with greater freedom. Looking back on her experience, Elen says, “The Arbor Vitae staff and doctors really do care and are highly qualified in their ability to assist the body to function, heal, and maintain health…but they did!”
