Social Anxiety, Hip and Back Pain & Crippling Digestive Issues
At Arbor Vitae, we were honored to walk with a Practice Member whose life had been turned upside down by years of physical and emotional struggle. She came to us battling “severe social anxiety, hip and back pain, and crippling digestive issues.” For two years, “anytime I ate ANYTHING, I was constantly sick.”
She shared how this affected her identity: “My nature is to be compassionate, kind, outgoing, and the peacemaker—but I couldn’t be myself. The pain drove me to exhaustion.”
Before coming to Arbor Vitae, she tried psychiatrists, specialists, and medications, but nothing helped. “I felt like a guinea pig… hopeless. I prayed for just a little relief.” What she didn’t realize was that her nervous system was the missing piece. “I wasn’t dealing with the root cause until I came to this clinic.”
When she entered our office, she immediately felt something different. “God was in it—I knew from the moment I stepped through those doors.” With consistent care, prayer, and a positive mindset, her life began to shift.
Today, she celebrates victories she once thought impossible:
“I can eat without getting sick. I’m able to be out in public and share compassion, care, and kindness again.”
Even her animals noticed the change: “They are happy once again—they have their mom back.”
